The story of a man...

Jack gripped the wheel as the alarm blared through the night. His companions burst from the bank with loaded bags of money. Quickly they jumped into the car and it sped off down the empty street. They immediately realized that a police car had begun pursuit of them. The police lights and blasting siren ignited Jack's adrenaline.

"It is time to show us what you can do, boy," said a womanly voiced masked robber. "You do want to make a name for yourself around here, do you not?"

Jack immediately accelerated to full speed and the group was thrown back. Jack skillfully eluded the few squad cars following them, despite the heavy fog that engulfed the city. He drove around for awhile, just to make sure they weren't being followed anymore. He slowed down the car as he approached the docks, where they would leave in safety on a cargo boat.

His four masked accomplices were conversing with each other, after the woman next to him commended him for a job well done. He assumed that they were South Americans of some sort, by their accents. It was his first job in the city, but he hoped that he would fit in with them soon enough. But for this first job, he was not allowed to see their faces.

Jack brought the car to a stop at the docks and everyone got out of the car except him. He was told he had to drive the car into the river to dispose of any evidence. The car rolled toward the edge and he was about to jump out at the last moment, as was planned. But as he went to open his door, he found it wouldn't budge.

It was already too late, for the car splashed into the water. Jack struggled not to panic when he realized they had locked all the doors. He refused to believe he was trapped. Jack took out the small gun he had with him. It had six shots in it. He quickly fired at the windshield twice and water came rushing in.

He realized that the masked men had double-crossed him. He swam up and his head peeked above the surface. He could faintly make out the large masked man pressing a detonator in his hand. Seconds later, the car under Jack exploded, causing a massive upsurge of water where he had been. In an instant, the world faded into nothingness for Jack...
